karan bhalla, Karan Bhalla PMO, Karan Bhalla Encompass, karan bhalla arrest, karan bhalla fraud, karan bhalla cheating, karan bhalla CBI - A Retail concept who touches the Indian roots is Kama Ayurveda

Understanding the gap in the market for authentic Ayurveda beauty and wellness products, Co-Founder and CEO of Kama Ayurveda, Vivek Sahni launched the brand along with three partners in 2002. The brand, which started with a small line of just nine products, has today become a name to reckon with. Kama Ayurveda has 23 stores in India apart from a strong e-commerce presence. Their product range comprises of seven major categories – skin, hair, bath and body, mother and child care, men’s care, gifting and wellness. Talking exclusively to IMAGES Retail, Vivek Sahni outlines his brand’s journey and summarizes his vision of the evolution of Kama Ayurveda in the near future.

The idea of launching an authentic Ayurvedic beauty brand came to me after I worked closely with Indian artisans while spearheading a packaging project for the Khadi brand. While on this project, we worked closely with Indian farmers and artisans and this project strengthened my belief that Ayurveda and a return to traditional Indian values and crafts is something that held great power for the modern-day consumer. As an avid practitioner of Ayurveda and Yoga, I have always believed in a holistic way of living and this was the seed of the brand that has now become Kama Ayurveda.

Armed with belief and knowledge of authentic Ayurveda as it is truly intended to be, we founded the brand in 2002 with my three partners Rajshree Pathy, Vikram Goyal and Dave Chang to promote the message of true Ayurveda, universally. The journey has truly been rewarding ever since. We built a brand and a business around our conviction and faith in bringing Ayurveda to the world and the world in turn loved our products. Kama Ayurveda was launched with a small line of nine products that were Ayurvedic oils and powders. The fact that the original line of products not only continues today but also forms the heart of our bestsellers is a testament to the fact that efficacious and naturally gentle skin and hair treatments are appreciated by consumers all across the world. While we are still a young brand and have a long way to go, we are proud of giving this country its foremost home-grown beauty and wellness brand that is based of true and authentic Ayurveda.

Currently we have 23 stores in various cities across India such as Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Mumbai, Bangalore, Ludhiana, Kolkata, Coimbatore, Chennai and Pune. We are also expanding to newer cities as we speak and have increased access to consumers through our presence online on www. kamaayurveda.com as well as premium India e-tailers. Our store are exclusive brand outlets only and it is very important to us to maintain the purity and authenticity of our consumer’s experience. We are available in 36 countries across the world via our international distributors.

The Market:

It is no secret that the beauty business is booming in India and there is a renewed global interest in Ayurveda due to a variety of factors. In India, there is a deep cultural acceptance of natural, holistic beauty remedies as well a rapid increase in purchasing power due to rising disposable incomes. The emergence of online shopping in beauty has also driven growth for us due to our emphasis on consumer education, our foundation in Ayurvedic prescriptions as well strong word of mouth on our products that we are very proud of. However, for us our brand values of purity, efficacy, authenticity, kindness and sustainability speak to audiences not just in India but also to global consumers.

The Customers:

Our positioning is simple – we offer pure, holistic and efficacious treatments for beauty and wellness based on authentic Ayurvedic prescriptions. The key here is authentic – pure and classical – Ayurveda is at the heart of everything we do. Our purpose is to bring authentic Ayurveda to the world through effective formulations as well as elegant and contemporary packaging. Our consumers are women and men looking for safe, gentle and highly effective remedies for their beauty and wellness needs who are also conscious about reducing chemical or non-natural elements in their lives.

The Products:

Our product ranges across seven major categories – skin, hair, bath and body, mother and child care, men’s care, gifting and wellness. We are best known for our iconic treatments such as Bringadi Intensive Hair Treatment, Kumkumadi Miraculous Beauty Fluid and Kumkumadi Brightening Ayurvedic Face Scrub. Our high quality, beautifully packaged products are sold globally and used by some of the world’s leading hotels and spas.

All our brand stores stock our entire line of beauty and wellness treatments – we also do limited edition and gifting collections from time to time. Apart from our award-winning range and the wonderfully warm Kama customer service, our brand stores also have Ayurvedic Doctors who provide lifestyle and wellness advice to our valued consumers.

Pricing Strategy:

Our product pricing ranges from Rs 225 – Rs 2,295. Our consumers place a premium of the purity and efficacy of our products rather than judging our range purely by price. Our bestsellers are Bringadi Intensive Hair Treatment, Kumkumadi Miraculous Beauty Fluid, Kumkumadi Brightening Ayurvedic Face Scrub, Organic Coconut Oil, Eladi Hydrating Ayurvedic Cream among many others.

Location Strategy:

Location is key. Our location strategy is currently a mix of malls as well as high street – for both formats we look at prime real estate with high footfalls. We do have shop in shop outlets at select Shoppers Stop stores and also retail from select premium outlets like Good Earth, The Box by The Park, Amethyst and Taj Khazana.

The Stores:

The average size of our stores is 300 sq. ft. Our store formats currently are Exclusive Brand Stores only. While in terms of size they differ depending on the space availability, the store design, products available et al, are all uniform across our stores. Our consumer profile is largely women in their late twenties and above, well-educated and well-travelled. She is a contemporary, discerning woman who consciously chooses more holistic and healthier alternatives in her daily life.

Customer Loyalty:

We launched our exclusive Rewards Program ‘Amaaya’ in May 2016 and the response from our consumers has been phenomenal. It is our special privileges club and as a valued Amaaya member, our consumers can earn points every time they shop with us. Amaaya members also get access to a host of other benefits including new product previews, special offers and exclusive experiences with Kama Ayurveda.

Marketing Strategy:

Our marketing strategy has evolved as the brand has grown – in the beginning we had almost no marketing except for the word of mouth about our products. Today we are focusing our energies on wider channels of marketing but what has not changed for us is listening closely to our consumer. Our discerning and passionate consumers are the driving force behind everything that we do – whether it be new product launches or new store location, we listen closely for their suggestions and feedback. We believe that as long as we remain close to our consumers’ needs and desires, business will be a natural result.

Expansion Strategy:

We are looking to expand our footprint in cities where we are already present as well as take our brand to newer locations. We have recently opened stores in Pune and Ludhiana apart from adding stores in Mumbai and Bengaluru. We are not looking at franchising options at present.

Innovations:

We have Ayurvedic Doctors in our store who provide health and lifestyle advice to our consumers. Often our consumers have questions or concerns beyond our products alone and our highly experienced Ayurvedic doctors help address these quickly and efficiently. Our doctors are not there to sell, they are practicing physicians in their own right and this is a complimentary service available at Kama stores.

Online & E-Commerce:

E-commerce is a critical growth factor for us and the online boom in beauty buying has really helped our brand grow and reach out to newer consumers India and the world. While we cannot share any revenue numbers, it is safe to say that our online channels are growing at a rapid pace and we are looking to amp up our efforts online. Apart from building a rich and engaging brand site that provides fast domestic and international shipping, we have also partnered with key online partners to increase our online capabilities. A unique factor on our site www.kamaayurveda.com is the Complimentary Trial feature wherein consumers can pick free samples of their choice and have it delivered to their home for a nominal shipping fee.

karan bhalla, Karan Bhalla PMO, Karan Bhalla Encompass, karan bhalla arrest, karan bhalla fraud, karan bhalla cheating, karan bhalla CBI - Tips For Your New Job

Your first week at a new job is supposed to be exciting -- the start of the next adventure in your career -- and you've been looking forward to doing something different. Perhaps you've made a shift into a new kind of business, leaping from law to finance or from a technology firm to a medical practice.

Whatever the case, starting a new job means you may be confronted with a range of challenges that might include new software or a fresh operating system. You're sure you're up to it, but suddenly you're faced with a learning curve that seems as steep as Mount Everest.

Don't panic. Remember those first days on your last job. You probably felt just as nervous, but after awhile, all those intimidating tasks became second nature. Here are some tips to get you over the mountain.

Ask Questions

Bosses sometimes expect employees to be psychic, but it's best to ask about expectations up front. In today's work world, with more and more workers reporting to multiple bosses, remember that different people may have different preferences.
 Human Resource Consulting Company Delhi

You also may be assigned a particular person, a supervisor or coworker, to whom questions should be addressed. However, in many offices, no one person holds all the answers or is always available. Therefore, it pays to identify your best sources for questions on different topics. If you're on a team where each person's tasks are similar, you may have lots of people to choose from. Other information sources could include IT specialists for computer matters, mailroom clerks for shipping instructions and human resources personnel for protocol questions. Let everyone know you're the new kid on the block, and ask them to take the lead and guide you.

But Be Sure the Time Is Right

In a really busy office, you may begin to feel like your constant questions are becoming annoying. Pay attention to what others are up to before you interrupt with a question. Consider their body language and tone of voice. Does your coworker or boss appear harried or in the middle of something? If yes, can the question wait? Can you drop that task and work on another until a more convenient time? Consider going to another source or accumulating multiple questions so you only have to bother the person once. Ask for a convenient time to set up an appointment, or email questions so they can be answered easily when convenient.

Take Notes

This may seem like a no-brainer, but the trick to ramping up at a new job is accessing information when you need it. Make sure your how-to instructions and various lists are well-organized. If your job requires some moving around, it's no good to have a helpful Post-it back on your bulletin board. Use a portable notebook or accordion folder with labeled dividers that you can even take home for review.

Ask for Examples

If you're not sure how to fill out a form or craft a document, ask for an example you can keep on file. File these samples in your notebook or folder as well.

Sign Up for Classes

Many companies offer complimentary courses to help employees get up to speed on a variety of tasks, from software to customer service to specialty skills such as medical coding. Ask your supervisor for a list of available classes, an increasing number of which may be online or on CD-ROM for independent study. Many large firms post class descriptions and schedules on their intranets. Also, check software for tutorials, explore "help" sections and sift through manuals.

Finally, don't forget to take a deep breath. Your new workplace has factored in time for the learning curve. When filling a key spot in a fast-paced environment, you may feel pressured to catch up quickly. But if you do new tasks too fast, you're liable to make mistakes. If you're concerned about taking too long, talk to your supervisor and communicate your appreciation of the importance of getting tasks done correctly.

karan bhalla, Karan Bhalla PMO, Karan Bhalla Encompass, karan bhalla arrest, karan bhalla fraud, karan bhalla cheating, karan bhalla CBI - Best Things You Didn’t Know About Joyce Banda Of Malawi

Joyce Banda is one of the two African female presidents. Her presidency has been compared to that of former Nigerian president, Jonathan Goodluck. She was globally ranked at position 71 as the world’s most influential female leader, and position 1 in Africa by the Forbes magazine. If you can’t figure out who is being referred in the above statement, then you’re yet to learn much about African current history. Joyce Banda, the second female president in Africa and the first female president of Malawi, is one of the extremely few formidable female leaders whose influence is not only felt in Africa, but also with the rest of the world. Joyce Banda is one of the acclaimed African female leaders who have defied the African stereotypes by fighting their way to acquire the top posts in Africa. But behind this powerful female president, there are 12 things that most people don’t know. Let’s find out what they are:

1. She was Once a Victim of an Abusive Marriage: Her first marriage to Roy Kachale, with whom they have three children, was an abusive one as described by her. In fact, that’s what motivated her to get into politics. She’s now married to her second husband, Richard Banda with whom they have a stable marriage.

2. She Once Lived in Kenya: After getting married to Roy Kachale in 1975, she moved to Kenya to live with her first husband who at that time used to work in Nairobi. She divorced him in 1981 before going back to Malawi.

3. She’s the first female president and, at the same time, the first female vice president of Malawi. Before she became the first female president in Malawi, she was the first female vice president under president Mutharika — 2009 to 2012.

4. She was Fired From Vice Presidency: The former Malawian president fired her, but she continued to serve as the vice president as mandated by the constitution. She was even expelled from Democratic People’s Party (DPP), which is the ruling party. This was after she had refused to endorse Peter Muthariki ( president Muthariki’s brother) as the party’s presidential candidate in the next general election, 2014.

5. She Supports Gay Rights: President Joyce Banda is among the few African presidents who supports gay rights. Being the president of a country that was so much against homosexuality, Joyce Banda was quick to repel all laws against same-sex marriages immediately she got into power.

6. She Had a Sour Relationship with the Former President: President Muthariki’s relationship with his vice president Joyce Banda, was a tense one. According to President Banda, President Muthariki refused to keep his promise of supporting her for presidency in the 2014 general election but instead opted to support his brother. This is what brew the animosity between the two.

karan bhalla, Karan Bhalla PMO, Karan Bhalla Encompass, karan bhalla arrest, karan bhalla fraud, karan bhalla cheating, karan bhalla CBI - Some Best Practices for Employee Wellness Programs

Workplace wellness programs, once seen as an optional benefit that was only available to employees of the largest companies, have now become the rule rather than the Untitled15exception. According to the most recent survey by the Society for Human Resource Management, 70 per cent of all employers offer some type of workplace wellness program, and an additional 8 per cent of companies plan to implement such a program within the next year. And the return on investment for such programs is consistently high: On average, employers see an ROI of $1.50 for every dollar spent on workplace wellness; for those initiatives related to chronic diseases, the ROI skyrockets to almost $4 for every dollar spent.

However, not everyone is convinced that the programs are benefiting individual health — or company bottom lines. According to one new report, outside of chronic disease management programs, many workplace wellness programs are actually increasing costs, thanks in large part to testing. Wellness programs often require certain biometric tests, such as cholesterol and blood sugar screenings, regardless of recommendations from doctors and public health agencies and patient’s individual risk factors. This not only increases costs, but can also create a culture of misunderstanding in which people believe that they are sicker or healthier than they really are.

For example, many programs test cholesterol, but some only test levels of LDL, or “bad” cholesterol, ignoring readings for HDL, or “good,” cholesterol and triglycerides. HDL and triglycerides are actually more accurate determinants of heart disease, meaning that those people who are only tested for LDL cholesterol could be put on medication unnecessarily, or believe that their numbers are fine when they are unhealthy.

Still, because workplace wellness programs have shown some positive results in terms of getting people to exercise, lose weight, quit smoking, and manage chronic diseases like diabetes, they are likely to remain an important aspect of the health care delivery system, especially given the push toward more population-focused health care. Under this model, health care providers are being trained to follow guidelines and make recommendations for patients who have similar characteristics; for example, prescribing cholesterol lowering drugs to all patients who meet certain criteria and share specific risk factors. With that in mind, small businesses can improve the participation in their wellness programs and ensure their effectiveness by following a few best practices.

1. Ensure Programs Follow Best Practices
Untitled16Many workplace wellness programs are “one size fits all,” but not all employees need every test and intervention. Choose a program that applies the principles of population-based health care and conducts screenings based on the individual’s risk factors. Following basic protocols from the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force or a similar organization also ensure that only the most necessary tests are conducted, saving significant costs.

2. Improve Communication
One reason that many employee wellness programs fail to garner results is that many employees aren’t invested in the process. Often, they attend a screening appointment, receive their results, and in some cases, support in necessary lifestyle changes, but more often than not, the programs fade into the background until it’s time to renew health insurance plans. Consistent, meaningful communication related not only to one’s health, but also to the program itself — evaluations, results, wins, and educational programs — goes a long way toward maintaining engagement and keeping employee health on track.

3. Offer Incentives
Without the proper incentives, workplace wellness programs often feel like “just one more thing” that employees have to deal with. Study after study has shown that offering incentives, in the form of reduced health coverage premiums, discounted fitness memberships and classes, or even cash, increases both participation and results in workplace wellness programs.

4.  Provide Trained Health Coaches
Research shows that people who have support when trying to make major changes to their health and behaviors are more successful than those who don’t. By providing trained health coaches to work with employees to offer advice and facilitate change, you’re more likely to see results. Coaches should be trained in overcoming resistance, positive reinforcement techniques, and given the tools necessary to communicate with employees to get and keep them on track.

5. Make Bold Changes
Finally, making big changes to the work environment, such as banning smoking on property or removing unhealthy snacks from the break room, show employees that you take health seriously and that you’re committed to improvement. By “walking the walk” and encouraging healthy behaviors, your wellness program has a greater likelihood of success.

While in some circles, the value of employee wellness programs may still be up for debate, there is some evidence that they are effective in improving employee health and reducing costs. To ensure that your efforts are valuable, keep the best practices in mind and make your investment really count.

karan bhalla, Karan Bhalla PMO, Karan Bhalla Encompass, karan bhalla arrest, karan bhalla fraud, karan bhalla cheating, karan bhalla CBI - How to Reinvent your Career

If you work long enough, something along the way will probably happen to you. You will work with a co-worker who drives you crazy, a boss that doesn't get you, or an employee that keeps you up at night.

It's all a part of the working world.

At other times, things will happen to you that will throw you for a loop. Your job is eliminated. You are fired without reason. Your industry goes away. This is when it's important to take stock in who are you, what you want out of life, and where you want to go next.

So, how do you get yourself back on track; find your passion and purpose again, and reinvent the next phase of your career? You soul-search and ask lots of questions.

Here where you begin:

You Make Time To Think

Reinvention cannot happen without thought.

A clear picture of where you want to go next cannot come to you unless you create time to think about it. This time is what will allow you to get in touch with yourself and your priorities.

One of the main reasons your off track right now, is because you've been "busy," too busy to make time for you. This does not mean that you have to allocate days or weeks of thought to nothing else; BUT regularly taking an hour here and there will make a tremendous difference.

Ask yourself, "When will I make time to think about what I want?" Notice that I am not saying to ask yourself whether you will find time, but rather when you will make the time. It is essential to be assertive with yourself.

Once you have made the time, find a quiet place. Sit down and take deep breaths, as many as you need to instill a sense of calmness. Your mind will want to wander, but you must bring yourself back. Remind yourself why you are doing this. You want something better in your career. Focus on the importance of this to your career, and channel your thoughts in this direction.

You Ask Yourself What You Want

Reinvention happens when you decide what you want, and then take action to get it. Without an end in mind, you will wander aimlessly; and as long as you are aimless, you will be wasting time. You will feel lost. You will be like a stray leaf, going wherever the wind takes you.

Ask yourself the following questions:

If it was impossible to fail, what would be different in my career?
What type of job would I have?
What would I be responsible for?
What type of boss/co-workers/team would I have?
What kind of hours would I work?
What type of company would I work for?
What sort of culture would the company have?
What city would I live in?
How much money would I make?
How would I handle stress, my workload, and deadlines?
How would I successfully be balancing work and life?

There is no right or wrong answers to these questions. The answers are what are true for you-not what someone else wants for you, but what is in your heart. Listen to yourself, and your answers will be the perfect ones for you.

In addition, don't let past mistakes or choices cloud your answers. It's not too late for you.

You Turn What You Want Into A Vision For Your Career

A vision is a picture of where you see yourself in the future. Your picture can describe where you want to be in a day, a week, a month, a year, or even farther into the future.

All goals are reached in the mind first. You see yourself both achieving that goal and experiencing the satisfaction it will bring you once you are there. This picture is what will help you to persevere during times of doubt. It will help you with your reinvention. Your picture will give you purpose, power, and excitement. Your picture will give you a reason to get out of bed every day.

Here's an example of a vision:

I will have a career that energizes me. I will work for a company that cares about its people and be responsible for projects that make a difference. I will be paid well for my contributions. I will have a great relationship with my boss, co-workers, and staff, and work with supportive people. I will work in a location with plenty of sunshine, for no more than eight hours a day. I will commute no more than a half-hour each way. I will feel calm when everyone around me is stressed and I will wake up every morning looking forward to the day.

Remember, reinvention is a journey. One day you may have no
idea who you are anymore, and on another day, you will be grateful for the events that have transpired in your life because you have become a person you truly love.

So, what do you say? You only have one life to live, so it might as well be a life you love! for more info, check out avant career

Jharkhand Tourism will reportedly launch a mobile App and a web portal by end of April this year. karan bhalla, Karan Bhalla PMO, Karan Bhalla Encompass, karan bhalla arrest, karan bhalla fraud, karan bhalla cheating, karan bhalla CBI - Five Fun Family Activities During the Travel

When we travel with our family it has its own perks. We Indians have the strong emotional and moral support from our families and family values are passed from generation to generations. We may whine about restrictions at some point, we may sulk about the unavoidable functions that we have to attend no matter how important our plans with friends must be at the end of the day it is our family because of which we can strong and move on confidently with our lives, come what may challenges appear or the crisis situations we have a family to stand by us and we can sleep peacefully in the night.

So when it comes to travel with a family many advantages are hidden here. Bonding develops more than before, we get to know the different new places in a secured atmosphere of family and so and so.

So how can we make our family trips more interesting?

Let it be a short trip somewhere or a long tour with relatives tagging along with you some games and activities together will always encourage the spirit of travelling.

Old school games

Old school games like dog in the bone sort of games that we played during our school time can be played bringing back the childhood memories to cherish and going back to your childhood era.

License plate id

This is fun game which we can play while sitting in the car while moving along the road. It is a game to be played as in participants should guess the state and district code of the car passing by , those who guessed wrong is out of the game and the game is continued till the last participant survives.

Uno

It is one of the famous card game enjoyed among all the age group. Each card has a different no. and colors and some cards have the special benefits. That who can’t finish all the cards till the end of the game is lost.

I spy

I spy is a game where one is supposed to give the hints of a thing or the place which we are passing by along with the hints those who will guess the answer right with minimum clues wins the game.

Dumsharaz

A famous Indian game played very often and enjoyed to the core. People are divided into teams and a name of the movie is given to any one of the participant from the either of the team and he is supposed to do give his team clues while acting according to the name of the movie is given.

There are lots of cards games involved here which we can play and enjoy with our family then housie also. If we are going on an outdoor location and spending quiet a good time there we can do kite flying too and badminton as well as antakshri of songs or names or cities.

A travel with family can be made more memorable by doing some fun activities together rather than being lost in tabs or smart phones which have already ruined our family time in daily life. One can think of many games on his own to enhance this family trip spirit by introducing games on his own.

Are you planning to travel with your family? Then I would higly suggest you use travelboss

karan bhalla, Karan Bhalla PMO, Karan Bhalla Encompass, karan bhalla arrest, karan bhalla fraud, karan bhalla cheating, karan bhalla CBI - A family trip to the New Forest

Back in the Nineties, as a bachelor living in New York, my idea of a perfect weekend was doing nothing. I shared a summer house on Shelter Island with some British friends and on a typical Saturday we’d get up at about 11am, compare notes on our hangovers, open a bottle of wine, have lunch, spend the rest of the afternoon lying by the pool, go out to dinner and then hang out in our favourite bar until about 3am.
Our American friends were constantly amazed by our indolence. They’d be up at 6am for a round of golf before breakfast and then it was sailing, tennis, paddle-boarding… a non-stop round of competitive sport. We called them “lightweights” because they used to go to bed at midnight but, in reality, we were the lightweights. They packed more activities into a single weekend than we did in a year.

Now that I’m a father of four, I’ve become more American in my attitude to weekends. Hanging around the house and doing nothing doesn’t really work with young children, particularly boys. They just watch television and play video games and become more and more restless and bad-tempered.
Much better to give yourselves a joint “project”, like building a remote control model aeroplane and going to Wormwood Scrubs to fly it. Young children need structure and boundaries and, to be honest, so do middle-aged dads. A weekend without a “plan” is my idea of hell.
One of the best weekends to date involved a camping trip to the New Forest. We drove down on a Friday night, set up the tent, roasted marshmallows by the fire, then the following day met up with a friend of mine who has a boat and went mackerel fishing in the Solent. We only caught one, but we cooked it that night back at the campsite and even my six-year-old, who’s usually pretty fussy, was willing to try it.
The next day we went for a walk in the forest, had lunch at a local pub, then drove back to London. I knew it had been a good weekend when all four children fell asleep in the back of the car.
